Hi friends! I hope this post finds you doing well! It’s been a while but it’s that time of year to start planning food for the big game this weekend! Do you host a party? Go to a party? Or like me, just stay at home in my comfy clothes, and have some yummy food with the game on in the background?
If hosting or joining a party, which are you?
- A year-round football fan?
- Only watch during the playoffs?
- Just here for the food?
- Come for the fellowship?
- Here to watch the commercials and halftime show?
If I were to go anywhere, I would be the one only here for the food!!! So, I wanted to find some good recipes to share with you for the Super Bowl!! Or for any time you need a quick snack food. These are not my recipes but some that I have found that I thought sounded good and a few I have made before, so they are trial-tested, “wink, wink”(if only I could add emojis).
1) Cowboy Queso
Who doesn’t love a good queso dip? You can put this in a crock pot on low and it is good to go for the rest of the night!!! I haven’t personally tried this one but it is on my saved list to try it!
2)Game Day Cheesy Pull Apart Bread
I have made this recipe only in the shape of a tree for Christmas and it was a hit with everyone! I love how they have made it into a football for “game day”!!!
3)Football Shaped Veggie Tray/Charcuterie Tray
My family loves veggie trays and charcuterie boards. These are perfect because people can just grab and go and there is zero cooking involved. Always a plus!! And a little healthy to counter all of the junk foods we may be splurging on.
4)Pigs in a Blanket
Y’all!?!? I had no clue that others called these “Pigs in a Blanket”!! Growing up, my mom always cooked these for us as snacks. It’s like a corndog without a stick. These to me are the perfect little snacks for a game day party! I would recommend eating them with mustard!!
If you have never had these and decide to make them, please come back and let me know your thoughts!
5)Spicy Italian Crescent Ring
This recipe jsut sounds good!!! I have not tried but again it is in my saved file now! If you love an italian sub/sandwich, this is perfect and I think can be altered in any way to your liking. I cannot wait to try it!
6) Chili
And who doesn’t love a good chili recipe? This is mine and I made it with turkey instead of beef but it can be made however you prefer. That is what I love about food and recipes, you can change them up!
7)Fudgy Football Brownies
You know that I had to throw in one dessert!! And it is a classic, fudgy football brownies! How easy is that? Just take your favorite brownie recipe and cut into little footballs and add a little icing to look like a football. In the link I posted are a few more ideas!!
It was hard guys to pick just a few to share because there are so mnay good recipes out there!! But I am excited for you to try some of the ones that I posted and cannot wait to hear how you like them. I too am looking forward to trying a couple of new to me!
As always, thank you for joining me on this journey of Beauty Among Us! I am looking forward as well to share more with you this year on the blog side and seeing what God has in tore for us and you along the way!
Blessings always!! Amanda
