Do you find yourself on the hunt for a quick and easy craft? I do!! I can spend hours upon hours on Pinterest looking for ideas. Raise a hand if you do the same thing!
Well, today I wanted to share an easy, peasy pumpkin sign with you. Most of the supplies came from, you may have guessed, the Dollar Tree. If you have followed me for any length of time you already know that do a lot of shopping for craft supplies at the Dollar Tree.
SUPPLIES:
The supply list is pretty simple…
- Wooden Pumpkin, from the Dollar Tree
- Acrylic paint color of choice
- Twine
- Paint stirrer, for a stand
- the words, Thankful Grateful Blessed, I bought mine at Hobby Lobby 6 in a set
- Piant brushes
- Hot glue gun
STEPS:
To start with, we are going to paint our pumpkin. I chose to go with the traditional orange, but get creative and go with a totally unique color this year. It is so fun to step outside of the box and do something different.
Once I had painted my pumpkin, while the paint was still a little wet, I went back and added some definition to my pumpkin. By that, I mean that I took a little bit of white, gray and taupe paint mixed together and added around the pumpkin.
NEXT:
While we wait for the pumpkin to dry, we can paint our words “Thankful Grateful Blessed”. I mixed taupe, gray, and white for mine, but again get creative and do something uniquely different. I also painted the paint stirrer stick this color.
Once everything is dry, we can start assembling our Easy Peasy Pumpkin Sign.
LET’S FINISH:
For the final steps, we’re going to start by wrapping the twine around the stem of the pumpkin. Just apply a drop of glue from the hot glue gun and start to wrap the twine around. Along the way, I would put a drop on the back to hold the twine in place. Wrap it till you get to the end and apply another drop of glue to hold the end in place.
Next, let’s glue our words in place. I put Thankful at the top, then Grateful is slightly offset, and then at the bottom is Blessed.
For the final, final step we will glue the pumpkin to the top of the paint stirrer.

You can add a flower, leaf, or bow to the pumpkin for a little added flair.
