Are you in need of a quick and cheap refresh? I have just a fun idea for you, a Boho framed fabric idea!!
My nephew asked me about doing framed fabric for a vacation home he and his wife just bought. I haven’t thought anything else about it till I was looking around my craft room and saw all the pieces of fabric I have laying around.
So, I thought let’s try it out. It is a perfect way to add a little change to your room without spending a lot of money.
The supplies needed for our boho framed fabric are very few and very inexpensive. And who doesn’t love a cheap craft?
Supplies:

Directions for Boho Framed Fabric
My frames came from the clearance section at Hobby Lobby a year ago. That is always a good section to browse and they usually have a lot of frames. Or you can get frames from the Dollar Tree. Really, it doesn’t have to be anything fancy.
I bought frames that had a screen attached to them for screen art, but they were regular $9.99 on sale for $2.49. I couldn’t pass that up, but I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them till today.
And my fabric was just a couple of pieces that I had leftover from last year, but you can use any fabric you want. I choose some boho theme fabric but this is a great idea for seasonal decor. You can use anything from July 4th to Christmas to Valentine’s, etc.
I was able to pull the screen off of the frame without messing anything up. Once I had the screen off, I painted my frames with white paint and a little bit of antique wax mixed in. I didn’t want a bright white frame. But as I always stress, paint them to the color of your decor style. That is what makes us all unique.
Once my frames were dry, I measured out the fabric using the frame as my guide for the size I needed. Cut out the fabric and lay it right side facing through the frame onto the backside of the frame.
Keeping the fabric pulled tight, slowly staple it down on the backside of the frame. One last thing, I purchased a picture hanging kit from the Dollar General and attached a little bracket on the back to hang my frames with.
And that’s all there is to it, a beautiful Boho framed fabric!!! You now have a very unique and inexpensive piece of art to change up your space.
I love these ideas!! We would love to see how you use this idea for your home!!
Blessings always, Amanda
