Oh, Happy Fall Y’all!!!
Can you believe how fast this year has gone by? I cannot!! BUT…we have a few more weeks to do fall crafts before we start with the Christmas ones. And this one is super easy!!
Let’s get started!! As many of you already know, most of my supplies came from Dollar Tree, because I love to find inexpensive crafts to do with you. Except for my paint, which came from Lowe’s.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- Three styrofoam pumpkins from the Doolar Tree
- Spanish moss, Dollar Tree
- Silver bucket, Dollar Tree
- Paint of choice, I used spray paint
- Hot Glue gun
- Wooden stem, from the yard
- Decorative leaf/flower
STEP 1:
We are going to start with painting our three styrofoam pumpkins. And I’ll be honest, I was not happy with my first coat of paint. I started with acrylic paint and a brush and was not liking the application. So, I stopped and went to Lowe’s for spray paint.
Spray paint is so much easier when painting something round, lol, like a pumpkin. And to be a little different, I decided on purple and white for my pumpkins. And I must say that they turned out really well.
To start this process, stick a small skewer in each pumpkin to make it easier to hit all sides of the pumpkin. Oh, and do this step outside. Once you have the pumpkins painted, stick the skewer into the ground till the pumpkins are dry.
STEP 2:
Once the paint is dry, it’s time to assemble. This is really easy too!!
Fill the silver container with old newspaper to help add volume, then add the Spanish moss. You can add a little glue to hold the moss in.
Now let’s assemble the pumpkin stack. Once you have the pumpkins in the color sequence that you want, glue them together. Now sit the pumpkins in the container and add a little glue around the sides to hold the pumpkins in place.
Place old newspaper into container Add some Spanish Moss Stack all of the pumpkins using a hot glue gun
FINALIZE:
Now the fun part. You can add whatever decorative pieces you want to now. I added flowers, leaves, and pumpkins that I bought at the Dollar Tree.
Before adding flowers All finished
I am so excited about how this turned out and it is perfect for any area of your home.
Happy Fall!!!
